It's been a busy month and I've been bad at posting new blogs. So this entry will catch up on the last month's events. Lucia is a babbling, rolling, smiling, laughing bundle of joy these days. She's a very happy baby and Mark and I feel blessed by her every day. Uncles Jeff and Michael came to visit us in late September. It was so fun to hang out with them and see Lucia enjoy her family. She really took to them and they seemed to like her, too. :)
The big news of the month is that Lucia started daycare and Mom went back to work. It's a big adjustment for Mom, but Lucia seems to think it's no big deal. She loves her daycare lady, Mary, and her new friends who shout "LUCIA!" when she arrives in the morning. :) I'm working on the balance between working and motherhood and my favorite time of the day is 4:30 when I get to pick her up.
We just went in to the pediatrician for her 4 month check up recently. For those of you who like to know the stats she's now a long 25.8" (97%) and 12.8 lbs (39%). She's our long string bean. Apparently all that milk is going towards her length and not her weight right now. The doc says she's growing fine and we think she looks perfect.
It's a beautiful fall weekend in Minnesota and yesterday we went to the apple orchard. It was both Lucia's and Mark's first time! Mark claims it's a midwestern thing, all these apple orchards and pumpkin patches. We sampled apples, looked for pumpkins, took pictures, and bought almost every apple dessert available in the sales barn.
